How yoga saved my life

Lauren Roegele has been passionately involved in yoga since 2001 and teaching full-time since 2005. She has owned and operated a yoga studio, lead yoga teacher trainings both as program director and faculty member for the Vancouver school of yoga (2008 – 2016), and is currently co-founder of, an online yoga website. Having taught yoga for over a decade, Lauren has built a strong reputation as the person to go to for all things Yoga related. It hasn’t been all cupcakes and butterflies along this path for Lauren, she has a deep connection to the healing benefits of the yoga practice, as Yoga was the doorway that lead Lauren to heal her own body after a life altering accident left her suicidal and physically broken. 

“In 1999 I was hit by a drunk driver walking across the street. Consequently, I suffered from many different minor and life threatening injuries. At first I thought that this would destroy my life. I thought I would never be the same fun loving, enthusiastic, woman again. In hindsight, it was the most transformational journey of my life and I am blessed to have lived through it.

You must know, it wasn’t an easy journey. I suffered with chronic pain, fatigue, Fibromyalgia, ulcerative colitis, Migraines, sleep disorders, and depression after this Motor vehicle accident. It wasn’t until I found yoga that I realized my own potential to heal and get back the life I dreamed of.

Over the last 15 years I have worked with many skilled Yoga teachers, psychologists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, Shiatsu healers, and Ayurvedic practitioners to process and eliminate my chronic life altering issues and come back to the playful, sensitive woman I innately am.

I am constantly inspired by my surrounding community of yoga teachers and learn daily from the students who allow me to lead them in this incredible practice of yoga. Now I want to share all of this with YOU!”
